Junior Moore preaches to the congregation of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church near Rockfield, Ky. as an interim pastor to the church he grew up in. “I received the call to preach when I was 16 years old, and I ran from it,” Moore said. “But when I come around, I’ve been doing it ever since. I just want everybody to be in heaven with me."
In order to reach his goal of sharing the gospel with everybody, Moore sings hymns and plays guitar at a local Waffle House twice a week. Despite receiving no formal education past high school, he regularly preaches and lectures at area churches and hold revivals as far as Florida.
